Concerned Citizens of Laguna Woods Village was formed in 1981 to oppose nuclear proliferation.  As members of the global community, we pledge to continue our efforts to end violence everywhere and create a future of peace, social justice, economic equality, and human rights. We are committed to firm action to meet the challenge of climate change.

Concerned Citizens of Laguna Woods Village is a club that offers a liberal and progressive perspective on social problems through events, speakers, book reviews, films, and other media. The club also provides its members with the opportunity to interact with others who have similar views.

Past presenters have included Dr. Helen Caldicott, John Dean, Erwin Chemerinsky, Mike Farrell, Tom Hayden, and Robert Scheer.

 WE CAN BE PEACEMAKERS

  WE  BELIEVE

If we want peace, justice and security, we must take action. If each of us works for peace, it is inevitable that the world will change.

WE  BELIEVE

Non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states is to be firmly adhered to by all nations.

WE  BELIEVE

World resources, both human and natural, should be directed to peaceful purposes. Lives and money should not be squandered for military objectives.
